The Great Southern Rail Trail is a disused railway line that has been put to good use and turned into a walking track.
It joins towns in South Gippsland from Foster, Fish Creek, Meeniyan, Koonwarra to Leongatha.
What a great place to ride your bike, horse ride or walk. In some spots you can see views across Waratah Bay to Wilsons Promontory…and others, the lush green farmland creates interest.

The old rail bridge in the picture is just outside Foster. Crawling under structures like this just makes me appreciate the enormous work that our engineers and builders go to when constructing bridges…though I suppose, the use of timber will be a thing of the past.
