Draught Horses At Work In Meeniyan

Draught Horses in Meeniyan

Meeniyan is an interesting town on the South Gippsland Highway about 1 and a half hours drive from Melbourne. It is also the home of the popular ABC mini series ‘Bed Of Roses’.

These draught horses were pulling a wagon for tourists that had come to the town for the opening of the new Rail Trail bridge…that might not mean much to some, but it means a lot to the cyclists and walkers who frequently use the old railway track for fitness or fun.

Meeniyan is also the turning point on the highway if you are on your way to Wilsons Promontory, but to find out more and see other great photographs of Meeniyan as well, visit http://south-gippsland.com/meeniyan-photographs.htm. And while you are there, if any of the photgraphs interest you, we have made them available under a special license. But you can find out more about how to download them legally on the South Gippsland Website at http://south-gippsland.com.

All the very best to you,
