For most of February 2009, South Gippsland has experienced bush fires like never before. A significant amount of bushland, walking tracks and natural habitat has also been burnt at Wilsons Promontory, (conservative estimates start from 40%).
This picture was taken at Corner Inlet from the Toora Boat Ramp and although we can’t get into the park to take further photos as yet, the view can easily be seen of dense smoke from one end of ‘The Prom’, to the other.
