Coming up to holiday season and I receive so many calls asking for advice on where is a good place to stay close to Wilsons Prom National Park. Well, after living in Foster for a few years, I found it to be incredibly convenient place for buying groceries, getting fuel, cafes, beauty salons and other comforts associated with taking life easier.
Then there’s Yanakie, right on the very edge of the park with some boutique style cottages, cheaper priced cabins and of course a couple caravan parks that are usually booked out well in advance.
Waratah Bay is convenient too. Great for fishing and camping and well away from the hustle and bustle of the larger towns.
This Sunset taken from the rocks at Yanakie, looking out towards Port Franklin, shows just how beautiful this place can really be.
