Old Shed At Coal Creek

It’s been a few years now since they made the entry fee to Coal Creek FREE so I’ve been back on a family outing, as a group of photographers and just by myself to see this interesting place on the South Gippsland Highway on the eastern side of Korrumburra.

This is a picture taken from inside one of the old sheds on the several hectare property that holds a large array of heritage listed buildings, old machinery, relics and really interesting pieces of our Australian country history.

WELL WORTH A VISIT over the school holidays to ride the train, have a picnic on the lawn, watch the ducks swim on the dam, feed the friendly geese or have a coffee and cake in the cafe. They also sell a lovely range of souvenirs both at the front information centre and inside one of the old shops as you venture futher in.
