Small Boat On The Water

Perhaps you’ll want to go fishing or sailing or cruising or boating in a larger craft than this little dinghy, but getting out on the water is so much fun, any how and at any time of the year in South Gippsland.

This craft took off from Port Franklin and traveled through the calm, scenic and protected waters of Corner Inlet, taking in magnificent views of Yanakie and Wilsons Promontory National Park.

Enjoying a Cruise

It’s ohhh so nice to sit out the front of a luxury catamaran and enjoy the view, a pleasant chat and feel the wind gently blow away all my worries. This picture was taken from onboard “The Nooramunga” during a sailing trip out towards Snake Island.

There are a few options for touring the area by boat. Take a look at http://south-gippsland.com/portalbert-sailing-tours.htm or you may even like to indulge in seeing the waters of Nooramunga Marine Park on a magnificent Cruise At Sunset

Fish & Chips On The Wharf

Port Albert is renowned for it’s ‘award winning’ Fish & Chips Shop located right on the wharf.

When I was visiting the area yesterday, I got chatting to a sales rep who Lives in Traralgon…whenever he’s in the area, he ALWAYS makes sure he stops to have lunch on The Wharf.

But not many people know about the ‘wildfish’ restaurant that’s right next door…what a fabulous place…you can find out more by going to http://south-gippsland.com/portalbert-wildfish.htm but whatever you do, when you’re anywhere on the South Gippsland Highway between Welshpool and Yarram, you just have to take the detour from Alberton to get to this magical place called Port Albert.

The real estate is still affordable in this up-market seaside town, the location is peaceful, the food is fabulous, the locals are friendly and the lifestyle is extremely relaxed…and the fish and chips are ‘out of this world’.
